How to join a ride and what to check in the details

How to decide whether a ride is right for you and what the main details mean.

Before you join a ride, review the details carefully. They help you understand whether the route, level, and format are a good fit.

What to check before joining

Pay attention to:

  • start date and time;
  • start point and planned route;
  • length and expected duration;
  • riding level;
  • ride type;
  • maximum number of participants;
  • description from the organizer;
  • whether there are intermediate stops.

If anything is unclear, use the ride chat to ask the organizer or other participants.

What riding level means

Level helps the group share similar expectations for pace and difficulty. If you are a beginner, choose easier-level rides with a clear route. If the ride is more dynamic or long, make sure you have enough experience and preparation.

Why ride type matters

Ride type helps you understand the character of the route. For example, an off-road ride may require different preparation than a city or cruise route.

Type can also affect some challenges when tracking is linked to an organized ride.

Participation and tracking

If you join a ride and record tracking over 1 km, that can count toward your stats, badges, and challenges. If you are not the organizer, such a recording may count toward your participant tracking activity.

Safety

RideCall helps with organization, but responsibility for safe riding remains yours. Follow traffic rules, adapt to conditions, and do not join a ride that does not match your preparation.
