How challenges are calculated in RideCall
Learn how RideCall calculates weekly, monthly, and streak challenges from your completed tracks.
Challenges in RideCall are goals for a set period: a week, a month, or the last several days. They are calculated automatically from your completed tracking records.
The main rule
Only completed and saved tracks over 1 km count toward challenges. Very short test routes, recordings around or under 1 km, and unfinished tracks do not count.
A ride is attributed to the moment it is finished. For example, if you start a ride on Sunday evening but finish it on Monday, it counts toward Monday's period.
When progress updates
After tracking ends, RideCall saves the route and then updates challenges in the background. If you are offline or close the app right after saving, the update may happen later when the app has a connection again.
That does not mean the route is lost. If it was saved successfully, progress can sync later.
Weekly challenges
Weekly challenges are calculated for the current calendar week based on the device calendar.
100 km this week
RideCall sums the distance from all valid tracking records finished during the current week. When the total reaches 100 km, the challenge is complete.
3 weekend rides
Valid tracking records finished on Saturday or Sunday of the current week are counted. When you have 3 such rides, the challenge is complete.
Rides finished on Friday evening or Monday morning do not count as weekend, unless the finish itself is on Saturday or Sunday.
Monthly challenges
Monthly challenges are calculated for the current calendar month.
1,000 km this month
RideCall sums the distance from all valid tracking records finished during the current month. When the total reaches 1,000 km, the challenge is complete.
A single ride over 200 km or 500 km
Here RideCall does not sum all kilometers. It looks at your longest single valid ride for the month. If one ride reaches the target distance, the challenge is complete.
1 off-road ride this month
This challenge counts when you complete tracking for a ride marked as off-road. Solo tracking does not always have a ride type, so it may not count as off-road even if you actually rode off pavement.
Streak challenges
The 7-day or 15-day streak challenges look at the last 7 or 15 calendar days. For each day you need at least one valid completed track.
If you miss a day, the streak breaks. Two rides on the same day still count as only one active day toward the streak goal.
Example: for 7 days in a row you need at least one valid ride on each of the last 7 calendar days.
What can lead to an unexpected result
- the ride was 1 km or less;
- tracking finished outside the period you are looking at;
- the ride has not synced yet;
- the phone was offline;
- solo tracking has no off-road type;
- for streak challenges, a day was skipped between rides.
How to follow your progress
Open Badges & Challenges and select Challenges. There you will see current progress for the active period. If you just finished a ride, give the app a little time to sync the result, especially if you were offline or closed the app right after tracking ended.
RideCall calculates challenges to reflect real completed and saved rides, not test or unfinished recordings.
